Mahjong Club Score Tracker and Leaderboard
One link for the whole club.
Anyone at any table logs results; standings, season history and head-to-heads update on their own. No accounts, no spreadsheet. Made for mahjong clubs, meetup groups and university societies that play every week and want one record everyone can see.
Free for up to 10 active players. Runs in the browser, nothing to install.
How a club uses it
- Create one room for the club. Give it a name and it exists. No sign-up and no password; the room is the club's record for as long as you keep the link.
- Post the link in the club chat. The room code is the address. Anyone with it can see the standings and add results, so share it with members and not beyond.
- Each table logs its own game. Pick the date, the style and who played, then enter the result hand by hand at the table or the final totals afterwards. Four tables on one night means four entries from four phones, and nobody has to collect score sheets at the end.
- The standings update on their own. Every saved game moves the leaderboard, the trend lines and each player's page at once. Next week, open the same link and carry on.
What organizers get
- Standings. Every player's total, rank, games played, wins and losses, with best and worst sessions and current streaks. Sort by any column.
- Season history. Every game in date order with who played and each score. View all time, or filter to one year or one quarter to see a season on its own while the long-term record keeps building underneath.
- Player pages. Tap a name to see that player's rank, the games they played and how their running total has moved.
- Trends. One line per player, game after game, so a good run or a slump shows at a glance.
- Head-to-head (Pro). Compare any two players across the games they shared a table, or open the matrix to see every pairing in the club.
- Result cards. After a night, save or share an image of that night's table, the running trend or the all-time board, ready for the group chat.
- Corrections. Any game can be edited or deleted later. In Cantonese and Hong Kong Taiwanese, a game that does not sum to zero will not save in the first place.
- Members who drift away. Put someone on a break and they leave the leaderboard and stop counting towards the free limit. Their history stays, and returns the moment they come back.
What it does not do
Mahjong Logbook is a score record, not a club management tool. It does not keep a membership list, collect dues, take RSVPs, schedule sessions or assign people to tables. Keep using your group chat or meetup page for those; the room link sits alongside them and holds the results.
It also does not score hands for you. Your table works out what a hand is worth under its own rules, and the room keeps the result.
Styles supported
Each game is tagged with its style, so a club that plays more than one can read the records apart.
| Style | Club room | Tournament mode |
|---|---|---|
| Cantonese | Yes. Hand by hand or final totals; a game must sum to zero to save. | Yes |
| Hong Kong Taiwanese | Yes. Hand by hand or final totals; zero-sum, like Cantonese. | Yes |
| American Mah Jongg | Yes. Each player's score stands on its own; no zero-sum check. | Yes |
| Riichi | No | Yes, final scores only |
For style-specific details, see the American Mahjong score tracker, the Cantonese score tracker (in Chinese) and the Hong Kong Taiwanese score tracker (in Chinese). Riichi clubs can use tournament mode for Riichi tournaments; regular club rooms do not take Riichi scores.
Club tournaments
A league that runs over weeks or a term needs nothing extra: the room's leaderboard is the live standings, and the quarter filter shows one season on its own.
For a one-day event, tournament mode is separate from the club room. Pick a format (round-robin points, points plus a final table, or multi-stage knockouts), paste the roster, and it seats each round, takes per-table scores and shows live standings with tiebreaks, including a projector view. The interface is in English or Chinese, and the event's data stays on the organizer's device. American clubs can read more on the American Mahjong tournament tracker page.
What it costs
Starting is free. A club with more than 10 regular players will need Pro on its room.
- Free room. Up to 10 active players, no adverts, no time limit. Players on a break do not count towards the 10.
- Pro, per room. USD 12.99 a month, or USD 7.99 a month billed yearly (USD 95.88 a year). Unlimited active players and head-to-head. Pro belongs to one room, and everyone who opens that room gets it.
- Tournament mode. US$99 per event, with a 3-day no-questions refund.
If you stop paying for Pro, nothing is deleted: every game, every player and the leaderboard stay. Head-to-head locks again, and a room above 10 players keeps everyone but cannot add more until it is Pro again. Full details are on the pricing page.
FAQ
Does every member need an account?
No. There are no accounts. One person creates the room and shares the link; anyone with the link can view the standings and add results. Treat the link like a key and keep it inside the club.
Can several tables enter results on the same night?
Yes. Each table enters its own game from its own phone, and every entry lands in the same room straight away. The leaderboard counts all of them.
Which kinds of mahjong does it support?
Club rooms take Cantonese, Hong Kong Taiwanese and American Mah Jongg. Tournament mode takes those three plus Riichi final scores. Regular rooms do not support Riichi.
How many players can a free club room hold?
Up to 10 active players. Players on a break do not count. Beyond 10, the room needs Pro: USD 12.99 a month, or USD 7.99 a month billed yearly, for unlimited active players and head-to-head.
Can it handle sign-ups, dues or table assignments?
No. It keeps the results and works out the standings. Membership lists, payments, RSVPs, scheduling and seating for club nights stay wherever you run them now.
Can we run a club tournament with it?
Yes. A league over weeks is the room's own leaderboard. A one-day event uses tournament mode at /tournament/, which seats each round and shows live standings, for US$99 per event with a 3-day no-questions refund.
Who can see our club's results?
Only people with the link. Rooms are not listed anywhere and search engines are kept out of them.
