Three steps

One book for the whole crew, a record every time the table opens

Mahjong Logbook is a free, no-sign-up score tracker for Cantonese and HK-style Taiwanese mahjong. Score hand by hand or log each night's final totals; leaderboards, trends and head-to-head records are calculated automatically.

Start a room

Name it and it exists. No sign-up, no password.

Send the link

The room code is the address. Paste it in the group chat once.

Write each night down

Anyone can log it, a night must balance to save, and everyone else has it at once.

You play the tiles, the book does the sums

One night, one entry

Pick the date, pick the players, put down what each one won or lost. A night that does not balance will not save, so the book always adds up. Any entry can be edited or deleted.

Runs in the browser, the same on a phone as on a computer.

Syncs at once

One person logs the night and the whole room has it. No screenshots going round.

Common questions

What is this?

A record book for a mahjong group. You write down what each player won or lost over a night, and the leaderboard, trends and head-to-head are computed from that. Score hand by hand at the table, or enter the night's final totals afterwards; both work.

Does it cost anything? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no adverts. There are no accounts: start a room and share the link.

Who can see our numbers?

Only people with the link. The room code is the address, rooms are not listed anywhere, and search engines are kept out of them. Treat the link like a key.

Which kinds of mahjong?

Cantonese and HK style Taiwanese mahjong are built in, and each night is tagged so the records can be read apart. Any game where a night ends in a number per player can be written down.

What if we enter a night wrong?

Any night can be edited or deleted, and a night that does not sum to zero will not save in the first place.

Where do the records live?

In a shared cloud database, so a new phone changes nothing. The demo room is the exception: its numbers stay on your device.

How many players does it take?

A night takes four players or more, since seats change hands over an evening. More people and more tables record just the same.

Can it run a mahjong tournament?

Yes. Give the tournament its own room, log each round as it finishes, and the leaderboard is the live standings. Tournament-specific features are in the works; email us to try them early.
